Getting Ready

In 2 weeks we will be on the road - for 6 weeks!!

Final plans are being made - discussions and decisions (or not...) underway on how much we plan in advance and how much we meander and find our way as we go. We don't know what this trip will be like, or what we will really encounter - all part of the excitement!

It is a fine balance whenever you travel with someone - but 6 weeks in the car with your spouse...well let's just say, the negotiations have started and likely won't end.

So what is the perfect road trip? Planned or spontaneous discoveries? Seeing the regular local attractions or getting off the beaten track and finding your own? Food and wine prepared by the locally renowned chefs and vintners? Or the famous street food and suds? Luxury accommodations or camping? ...We plan to do it all - and hopefully, we will find the formula for our perfect road trip.
