Paso Robles

We arrived in Paso Robles late, and checked out a few hotels... we settled on the Adelaide Inn, a nice family run place. They let us use the hot tub beyond regular hours and after a good sleep, complimentary pastries in the morning and lots of local information in hand we hit the wineries.

Paso Robles is a lovely area that is really laid back. If you are doing a wine tour of California, we highly recommend it. We will hit it again and spend more time when we are there.

I think my favourite was Peachy Canyon, which I never would have stopped at if it were not for my "Wine Encyclopedia" listing it as one of the better ones.

These wineries are often only distributing their wines locally with a few in the mainstream wine shops. The people are so friendly, and time seems to stand still. Okay, yes, that may have been the wine. I'll have to check with my generous designated driver on that one...

I'll just leave you with a few pictures of the area including the golf course we had lunch at before we hit the road once more into the interior...
